A feature film musical about a woman's journey of faithfulness

When tragedy strikes their family, Ruth, her mother-in-law and sister-in-law are left poor and struggling. Despite the danger, Ruth decides to accompany her mother-in-law, Naomi, back to her husband's homeland. They arrive at the time of the harvest and as a foreigner, the only work Ruth can find is as a gleaner in the harvest, picking up what the harvesters leave behind. Boaz notices Ruth  and takes her under his protection during the harvest, leading to a series of events that results in changing both women's lives and the course of history forever.

The film and music was written by Jay Moussa-Mann who has been making film and TV content for over 10 years. Her own mixed race and mixed culture upbringing has given her an insight for the story of Ruth and enabled her to infuse the music with a Middle Eastern touch.

The film is co-produced and will be distributed by VisionVideo who’s work includes The Cross and The Switchblade and the original Shadowlands which inspired the later version with Anthony Hopkins.
